In January 2019 I was diagnosed with anal cancer, which in many ways was a game changer. I felt how deeply valuable it was for me to have a practice. All the years I had put into cultivating awareness became a holding space as I got more and more affected by the treatment. I made a series of podcasts during this period. Podcasts that I shared on SoundCloud. You can find a link to them here:

I ended treatment in end of march 2019, so even that is soon a year ago. That seems simultaneously not very long ago and a lifetime ago. Like it's not even my life. I find myself more in love with my life. More intentional. More here. But it needs to remembered and cultivated. Back to the practice ...

I feel encouraged to feel so deeply that when life gets really tough, and when I face death, I can lean into this holding my space that all the years of practice has given me.
